Australia Day is celebrated on 26th January. The date marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip.

This is not a post about my Antique Jewellery.  But what can I say as an Australian who is in Germany now………tonight the socceroos beat Germany in a friendly match.  2-1 was the score.  The tensions here were ecstatic.  My son is the only Australian in his Grade 5 Year and normally he has to take it when Germany thrashes Australia in soccer……but not tomorrow………..I will have to make another Australia cake!!

Congratulations and we enjoyed watching the Socceroos McKay from Queensland too!  Go Australia!  Well done!  Yippie……….
